Following a successful first-year collaboration in 2023, The Sunset Project is excited to announce its involvement in the 2024 Fresh Takes Video Contest hosted by the Alpena Area Convention and Visitors Bureau!
This year, The Sunset Project is putting up prize offerings for first, second, and third-place films in addition to the cash prizes provided by the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Prizes for this year's contest include:
First Place
$500 cash from the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
$300 B&H Photo/Video Shop Gift Card from The Sunset Project
Second Place
$350 cash from the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
$200 B&H Photo/Video Shop Gift Card from The Sunset Project
Third Place
$150 cash from the Alpena Area Convention & Visitors Bureau
$150 B&H Photo/Video Shop Gift Card from The Sunset Project
Deadline for submissions is 5 pm (EST), Friday, March 22, 2024. Winners are to be announced during the Fresh Takes Awards Ceremony – TBA.

2023 Fresh Takes Video Contest Participation
In 2023, The Sunset Project committed over $1,200 in additional prizes as part of it's FOCUS45 program in an effort to further expand the Fresh Takes Video Contest.
These prizes came in the form of GoPro Hero 10 Black series kits, which included cameras, spare batteries, chargers, and mounts to help fuel the adventures of winning filmmakers across Northeast Michigan.
The Sunset Project team had the opportunity to present the prizes live during the Fresh Takes Awards Ceremony hosted on March 30, 2023 at Art in the Loft.
