Alpena, Michigan - April 2024

This past weekend, The Sunset Project had the pleasure of hosting its Third Annual Brighter Horizons Fundraising Event at The Depot on Fletcher St. in Alpena, Michigan.

We were honored to have over 175 guests in attendance who enjoyed music from Steve Rea and The Stray Trio, incredible food from Reid Krebs of Blue Moon Café, open bar stocked by Jimmy Garant's Party Store, and beautiful deserts donated by Annette Carlson from Save Your Forks Cakes and So Much More.

The evening also included a live raffle with prizes from local individuals, businesses, and artisans and featured a special "Grant Recipients Corner" highlighting the 2023 Sawyer J. Boyd Creatives Grant Recipients and their amazing selection of work!

Along with the fun atmosphere and event activities, The Sunset Project presented its Year In Review Keynote presentation highlighting the organization's work during its 2023/2024 Fiscal Year.

This year's event raised nearly $30,000 for the organization's mental health and creative-based programs, helping to further its mission of investing in the betterment of Northeast Michigan.

Thank you to all who attended this year's event, and a special thank you to the nearly 20 sponsors, vendors, and volunteers who helped us make this night a success!
